Welcome to my blog! I’m Ms. Glowstick, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m using a nickname for now, because I’m not sure yet what direction this blog will take and how personal I’ll get. There is a lot going on in my life right now, and I don’t want to censor myself in my writing and sharing. So, for now, I am Ms. Glowstick.
I chose the name after seeing a quote or meme online that read, “It’s okay to be a glowstick. Sometimes we have to break before we can shine.” That pretty well sums up my life and outlook lately. I have been snapped and broken, and now finally I am coming back to life, letting my true light shine for the first time. Plus, I’m a makeup and beauty lover (and hoarder), and one of my favorite beauty bloggers is Ms. Goldgirl. So the name Ms. Glowstick seemed to flow naturally, with her great blog and YouTube channel as an inspiration. So, credit where credit is due, thanks to Marnie for inspiring my blog name!
About me: I’m a single, 34-year-old professional woman in NC. I’m a native North Carolinian, and I deeply love the Old North State. I’m a thankful Christian, an open-minded learner, and a ridiculous dog nut. Other than Jesus and dogs, I love: makeup, America and those who genuinely want the best for it, personal and spiritual growth, flats (of the shoe variety), football (Southern girl), The Sound of Music, and driving with the windows down.
I’ll share much more about myself as I create content, but for now, I’m honored that you would spend a moment of your life reading what I write. I welcome feedback about specific content, the direction of the blog, and life in general. Thanks for stopping by!
